For Sweden, the semi-final place was gone before. That opportunity disappeared when the team fell to Norway on Sunday.

For Hungary, the opportunity to replay the medals remained. But it was the Swedish handball men who were hottest on the pitch.

The first period ended 10-9 to Sweden. Then Sweden went up further and eventually won 24-18.

- I think we are doing well backwards today. Then we move forward, we have some misses in the beginning but then they can not. We are probably a little better trained too. It is one of the last matches in the European Championships so we want to finish nicely, says Valter Chrintz to SVT Sport.

"We could have scored more goals"

- Going forward, we were better today. We played well and released the ball. We could have scored more goals too. It is more beautiful to win than lose, says Kim Ekdahl du Rietz.

It was Sweden's first victory in the handball European Championship round. The result is that Norway has won the group.
