The Professional Players Association (PFA) announced on Saturday the final list of candidates for the 2018-2019 Premier League Player of the Year Award, missed by Liverpool's Mohammed Salah, who won last season.

The final list included six players, led by Liverpool defender Virgil van Dyck and Manchester City star Rahim Stirling, whose team dominated the nominations by selecting team mate Sergio Aguero (top scorer with 19 goals with Salah) and Bernardo Silva.

Van Dyck is the favorites for the award for his outstanding role in making his team the strongest defense in the domestic league, where he conceded only 20 goals in 34 games, and also played a prominent role in the Ridds title for the Premier League and qualify for the second year in a row to semi-finals European Champions.

Rahim Streling also has a great chance of being Manchester City's second top scorer and fifth overall scorer with 17 goals.
