Fuji Women's Ekiden Meijo University wins 2 consecutive titles December 30 16:54

The All Japan University Women's Selection Ekiden, “Fujisan Joshi Ekiden” was held in Shizuoka Prefecture, and Meijo University won two consecutive victories with a time of 2: 23: 9.

Mt. Fuji Women's Ekiden was a 43.4 km course from Fujinomiya City to Shizuoka Prefecture in seven sections, with 22 universities and two selection teams nationwide.

Meijo Dai, who came in 3rd in the early stages, finished second in the Universiade half marathon in the 5th ward, which was the longest in 5th ward, when Yumoto Yamamoto marked a new section record in the 4th ward and narrowed the gap with the top. Rika Kaseta, a third-year student, marked the section prize and jumped from the third to the top.

In the 6th ward, Meijo University, who won the section prize by Narumi Kobayashi, also won the lead in the last 7 wards in 2 hours 23 minutes 9 seconds, keeping this lead.

Meijo University is the second champion for the second consecutive year following the first year of the championship, and has achieved two crowns together with the All Japan University Women's Ekiden in October. The second place was Daito Bunka University, and the third place was All Nippon University selection.
