Coronavirus: With more than 800 dead, the epidemic becomes more deadly than SARS

After the announcement of new deaths related to the coronavirus, the assessment reports 811 victims worldwide. Thus, the coronavirus epidemic has become more deadly than that of SARS. 774 people died during the 2002-2003 epidemic.

It is in mainland China, and more particularly in Hubei province, that the coronavirus spreads the most. On Sunday, February 9, the number of confirmed cases in China was 37,198, or 2,600 more cases compared to the last daily report.
332 cases in the rest of the world, 11 in France
In the rest of the world, some 332 cases have been identified in 27 countries, including France , which has detected 11 on its territory. But so far, only two fatal cases have been reported outside of mainland China, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

However, the World Health Organization (WHO) wanted to be reassuring on Saturday 8. It considers that the stabilization of the number of contamination cases detected every day is " good news " but that it was however too early to say conclude that the peak of contamination had been reached.
