Big stars Tove Alexandersson and Lina Strand both finished second in their respective qualifying groups while Karolin Ohlsson qualified as seventh in their group. Alexandersson, with eight World Cup gold in orientation, is looking for revenge at just the middle distance where she missed grossly at the World Cup last year and was left without a medal.

Of the Swedish men, the world cup leader Gustav Bergman was the best, second in his qualifying group. Martin Regborn was four in his and Emil Svensk six.

Tomorrow it will compete for the medals at long distance, on Friday median distance and on Saturday the relays will be decided. The sprint branches at the World Cup now go separate and will be decided in Denmark next year.
