The "Expo 2020 Run", which is supported by the Dubai Sports Council, will start on November 19, 2021, in a unique experience of running around the pavilions participating in "Expo 2020", and enjoying the view of the event's buildings designed according to the latest architecture technologies that simulate the future.

Registration has been opened to participate in the race for residents and visitors of all ages and nationalities for individuals and families, and participants can choose between three distances: three kilometers, five kilometers and 10 kilometers, and registration can be done through the Premier Online website, and registration continues until November 11 or with the number of allowed To participate.

Participation in the three races is available in different age groups. Participation in the three-kilometre race is available in four age groups: from one to eight years, 9-12 years, 13-18 years and 19 years and over, while the five-km race categories are divided into Eight categories: 13 years and under, 13-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over, and the 10-kilometer race includes six categories: under 19, and 19 -29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and older.

Weekly activities for families will be organized in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council for Running Training every Saturday at the Expo headquarters during the period from 9 to 30 October, to train participants to run for free before the start of the event, and it will be available to everyone of different ages and nationalities and extends for a distance of 1.3 km The AIS Sports Academy will also organize a series of free morning and evening training courses provided by professional and experienced trainers in the medium and long distances, which will be called “Expo Dubai Running Club”. Participation will be open to everyone of all physical levels at Expo Park during the period from October 3rd to 6th, October 10th to 13th, October 17th to 20th, and October 24th to 27th.

The Dubai Sports Council had announced the list of international events to be organized at the Expo headquarters, where the 16th edition of the "Dubai International Sports Conference", one of the "Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives", and the World Football Awards (Dubai Globe Soccer) ceremony will be held during The activities of the Expo 2020 Dubai exhibition, and the conference brings together the elite of the world’s stars in football, including players, coaches and decision-makers in international federations and clubs, to discuss the challenges facing the world of football and ways to confront them and ways to develop the sector to enrich sports at the local, regional and global levels, and since its launch in 2006 The Dubai International Sports Conference welcomed more than 400 international and national speakers and coordinators.

A ceremony honoring the winners of the 11th cycle categories of the "Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Sports Creativity", one of the "Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives", the largest award in terms of the value of its prizes and the multiplicity of its categories, will be held on January 9, 2022.

A number of international events will also be held at Expo 2020, including the World Chess Championship, which will be held from November 24 to December 16, 2021 and will witness the participation of world champion Magnus Carlsen to defend his title against his world rival Ian Nepomnyakhchi, and the Hamdan bin Rashid Championship will also be held. International Chess Masters at the same time and place with the World Championship, in addition to 30 various sporting events to be announced later.
