The waiting time is 1 hour, which is nothing other than the bank's story, but I've seen a lot of articles recently that some of the branches of commercial banks are experiencing inconvenience to customers because the windows are not working properly.

During lunchtime on weekdays, customers who visited a bank branch in Seoul complained that they had to wait more than an hour for simple tasks.

The main reason is that banks have drastically cut branches to cut costs.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service, as of the end of last year, the number of bank branches in Korea was 6,94, down by more than 300 from last year and by more than 1,000 compared to five years ago.

On the other hand, it was found that only 8.9% of the elderly in their 70s or older use mobile banking, and more than half of the elderly prefer cash withdrawal through the window.

For this reason, the bank stores in areas where the elderly mainly live are seeing more customers.

In addition, the bank's business hours were shortened by one hour due to the implementation of social distancing due to the spread of COVID-19.

Although social distancing has been lifted, banks are still closing their business hours.

This is also cited as a factor that increases customer inconvenience.
