The current situation of Mr. Lee Geun, a former captain of the Naval Special Warfare Group, who participated in the Ukrainian International Volunteer Forces, was reported.



Lee's side previously reported that 'Recently, he was injured while commanding a special reconnaissance mission in a hostile area.'



On the 22nd, when Lee revealed a picture of him lying on the MRI machine and undergoing examination, he announced his condition, saying, 'The injury is not serious, but he needs intensive treatment and several months of rehabilitation.



He continued, "Mr. Lee is going to take sick leave and receive additional treatment in Korea." He said, "I hope that after recovering from his injury, he will be able to return to Ukraine with the permission of the Korean government."



However, it is unclear whether Mr. Lee will be able to return to Ukraine again.



Mr. Lee is currently being charged with violating the passport law by visiting and staying in the travel warning level 4 area without government permission.



If he violates the passport law, he may be subject to administrative sanctions including invalidation of his passport, along with a penalty of up to one year in prison or a fine of not more than 10 million won.
