Today (9th) around 10:50 am, the concrete structure suddenly collapsed at the construction site near Gajwa Station in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
At the construction site, the work to dismantle and improve the Seongsancheongyo Bridge on the Gyeongin Line was in progress.
I was dismantling the safety net that was installed to prevent falling objects, and a concrete structure measuring about 10.3m above the work site fell down.
In this accident, a man in his 60s, who was in the high-altitude work vehicle and was doing demolition work, was crushed on a pile of concrete.
A was taken to the hospital in a conscious state at the time of the accident, but died.
It is known that Mr. A, an employee of a subcontractor of the construction company, worked with three people, including the person in charge of the accident and the safety manager, at the time of the accident.
Police are investigating how the old concrete structure fell.
