The defense rock has been one of the team's best players since she joined the Finnish league in 2018. But after Gothenburg won the club's first Swedish Championship gold in November 2020, she now chooses to leave.
"I have had so many lifelong memories, for example that we won Swedish Championship gold, cup gold and played in the Champions League against Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
But above all, it has been a great honor to play with such good teammates.
I have learned a lot during my years in Gothenburg ", Koivisto writes on Instagram.
"Now it's time for me to take on new challenges in a different environment."
During the past season, the Finnish national team player was noted for four goals and three assists in the damallsvenskan.
