Vakatawa (28 years old, 27 caps) injured his left knee on Saturday, during Racing 92's defeat against Bordeaux-Bègles.
Hit during a tackle from Clément Maynadier and Pablo Uberti, the international center came out after 11 minutes, replaced by the Irishman Simon Zebo.
LOU center Pierre-Louis Barassi (22 years old, 2 caps) was called up in his place.
The French team is meeting in Nice from Monday to prepare for the first meeting of the 2021 Six Nations Tournament, on February 6, in Italy.
