Bolshunov won gold in the skiathlon at the World Ski Championships

The Russian covered the distance in 1 hour 11 minutes 33.9 seconds.

The second place was taken by the Norwegian Simen Hegstad Kruger, and his compatriot Hans Christer Holund closed the top three.

For Bolshunov, this victory was the first at the World Cup in cross-country skiing in his career.

Earlier it was reported that the Norwegian Teresa Johaug won the women's skiathlon at the World Cup in Oberstdorf.
