Tyra Axnér has already been presented for the Danish top club Herning-Ikast, where her professional career will take off immediately after high school and the student this summer.
This after a season where the 18-year-old took big steps on the handball field and got his breakthrough.
Right now, the left winger is sixth in the shooting league in SHE and during the autumn she was named player of the month in October.
Leaving Lund and Lugi after their studies for Denmark already this summer will be a big change.
"Come as a shock"
- It came as a shock.
It was not like I decided that exactly after high school I would knit.
It's special, Lugi is still my mother club and I've been here so long.
Just changing teams is new and then moving is also completely new.
The hectic last semester of high school, in parallel with her handball career, means that she has not had time to think about what to expect next.
- I really shot at it.
I'll take the student, have a high school project to go in, have a test this afternoon.
I do not float away there but have lots to finish with, says Axnér who signed a three-year contract with Herning-Ikast.
With a father named Tomas Axnér, former major player, expert and now national team captain, she grew up with handball close by.
But it was still not a given that she herself would start with the sport, but a small encouraging ride was required.
- I thought it was very fun to check but I had no thoughts of starting myself.
I thought it seemed very boring.
Do not be in a hurry
Axnér was part of the national team this summer, something her father never was, and won a silver medal in the U17 European Championships.
If she instead looks ahead, the leftist believes that there is no urgency with the development.
- I choose to go to Denmark because I think about my development and where I should be when I am 23-24.
I'll try to be my best handball self then.
