The skyrocketing energy prices have claimed another victim.

Sepa Green Energy announced on Wednesday that it has filed for bankruptcy.

39,000 customers are affiliated with the company.

The reason for the bankruptcy is that Sepa bought its power from Energie I & V, which recently went bankrupt together with sister company Anode Energie.

As a result, Sepa had to buy the energy for much higher prices.

This jeopardized the security of supply.

The management of Sepa therefore saw no other option than to file for bankruptcy with ACM.

The market regulator is now looking for a solution for Sepa's 39,000 small-scale consumers.

In the meantime, customers will not run out of energy.

With Sepa, the fifth energy supplier collapses in a short time.

Previously, Welkom Energie, Anode Energie and Enstroga had already collapsed due to the high energy prices.

Allure Energie also went bankrupt, although this was due to a struggle between shareholders.
