The doors of Disneyland Paris will remain closed for even longer than initially thought.

The amusement park announced earlier this year that it hoped to be able to receive visitors again on April 2, but made it clear on its website on Friday that this is not possible.

A new target date is not mentioned.

"Due to the current situation and travel restrictions across Europe, Disneyland Paris will not reopen on April 2 as previously planned. We are hopeful that we will be able to reopen soon and will be sharing updates on our website as soon as possible," said read.

The company reports that Disney enthusiasts who have booked to visit while the theme park remains closed can rebook to a later date.

They can also choose to cancel the booking.

The amusement park has been closed since October 30, after it was closed for some time in the spring of 2020.

The Disney group has announced that it will cut 32,000 jobs worldwide, because it has significantly less income due to all contact-limiting measures.
