The video calling service Zoom is still benefiting from the many homeworkers during the corona crisis.

Full-year revenue increased 326 percent to $ 2.6 billion.

The operating profit even increased 50 times and amounted to 659.8 million.

In the accounting year 2021, which ran until the end of January for Zoom, records were broken for the video caller.

"The fourth quarter marked a strong end to an unseen year," CEO Eric Yuan said in a statement.

"In 2021, we significantly scaled our service in response to the global pandemic. Our rapid response has led to strong financial results throughout the year."

In addition to the good annual results, Zoom was also able to present strong figures in the fourth quarter.

Sales were 396 percent higher than in the same period a year earlier.

She finished at 882.5 million.

Operating profit gained 2,327 percent to 256.1 million.

At the end of fiscal year 2021, Zoom had 467,100 users with at least 10 employees, the annual report says.

Even better in the year ahead

Zoom expects to do even better in the coming year.

In the first quarter, the tech company expects a turnover of around 900 million euros and for the full year, turnover should be around 3.8 billion.

Profits make a similar move to $ 300 million and $ 1 billion.

“We believe we are well placed for strong growth with our platform, our globally renowned name and a team that is always focused on making people happy,” concluded Yuan.
