The flight attendants of Lufthansa may strike as planned on Thursday and Friday. The Hessian State Labor Court rejected on Wednesday evening, the appeal of the airline against a corresponding judgment of the Labor Court Frankfurt.
Previously, the company had already tried to prohibit the strike by a temporary injunction. But also the Labor Court Frankfurt declared on Wednesday morning in the first instance the planned strike of the cabin crew union Ufo for lawful. There was a strike decision, said the judge. The collective agreements were effectively terminated in the opinion of the court, there was thus no breach of the peace obligation. The planned strike was also not disproportionate.
The flight attendants plan to leave work from Thursday 0 am to Friday midnight. Lufthansa had canceled after the first verdict 1,300 flights with 180,000 passengers affected.
