Emirates airline fears a delay in the delivery of the new Boeing 777X aircraft. The first aircraft were scheduled to be delivered in June next year, but Emirates President Tim Clark has doubts about whether that deadline will be met.

Together with the commissioning of the 777X devices, Emirates also wanted to launch its new premium economy service. That is why the more luxurious economy class is now being rolled out at the end of 2020 in an Airbus A380 from the airline.

Aircraft maker Boeing announced earlier that the first flight with the 777X will take place later. This is due to problems with the engines made by General Electric. Emirates is an important buyer for the device. The company has already ordered 150 boxes.

Clark also pointed out that the results of Emirates in the first half of its broken financial year, which runs until March, are better than last year and also better than society had expected. Emirates will announce the exact results later this year.
