The German football club Bayern Munich has had a good year in economic terms. The southern German football club achieved a record turnover of 750 million euros over the 2018/2019 season.
Turnover was 14 percent higher than last season. Then the turnover amounted to 657.4 million. With the higher turnover, net profit for the past season amounted to 52.5 million. That is 29.5 million euros higher than the previous season.
'FC Hollywood' has been one of the financially healthiest football clubs in the world for years. While many major football clubs such as Real Madrid and Barcelona have skyrocketing debts, Bayern has been debt free for years. The equity of the club without debts rose in the past season to 497.4 million euros.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of the board, was delighted with the financial figures of the former club of Arjen Robben and Mark van Bommel, among others. "Of course we are very happy with the financial development of FC Bayern. Both the turnover and the profit increased to new records. The development of the club is excellent, both sporting and financial."
Bayern is also doing fine on the field. The South Germans won seven Bundesliga titles in a row. In the current football season, the club is in second place after three games.
