KLM scraps eleven flights from Monday morning due to a ground staff strike. These are European flights that are being scrapped as a precaution, says a spokesperson for the airline on Sunday.

KLM ground staff will put down their work on Monday morning between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. due to a collective agreement dispute with the airline.

KLM is still looking at which flights will be canceled. According to the spokesperson, the company will contact the travelers involved.

The FNV trade union expects that a large part of the ground staff will respond to the strike call. The trade union wants, among other things, a wage increase of 8 percent in two years, a less flexible schedule and more people in permanent employment.

KLM did not respond to trade union proposals during the negotiations last week.
