Protecting the interests of residents of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic is one of Moscow’s priorities. This was stated by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


In a comment to TASS, a representative of the Foreign Ministry noted that all requests from Tiraspol are considered by the Russian relevant departments “with attention.”

“Protecting the interests of the residents of Transnistria, our compatriots, is one of the priorities,” the ministry said.

Earlier it was reported that Transnistria turned to Russia due to pressure and blockade from the Moldovan authorities.
