Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour said, "There is no regulation in the International Football Association, the Egyptian Ministry of Youth, or even the Football Association, that requires clubs to reduce players’ salaries, but if a decision is issued by the Football Association in this regard, we will start implementing it immediately. "
On the other hand, the deadline set by the Zamalek club for the Football Association ends on April 14th, regarding the announcement of the date for the return of the league or the official cancellation of activity.
Mortada Mansour said in statements to Al-Nadi that: "The continuation of the current uncertainty about the future of the league causes a great loss for the clubs, and the Football Association must clarify the position completely, otherwise we will announce our withdrawal from local competitions and layoffs."
He concluded: "I say to everyone on April 14th, and my words are clear, if the Football Association did not announce the resumption of the league by a specific date or cancellation, then the league for me has become canceled."
