Putin arrived in Turkey

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Turkey, where on Wednesday, January 8, he will take part in the commissioning of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline.


According to the press service of the Russian leader, RIA Novosti, Putin has no public events on Tuesday, January 7, in Turkey.

Earlier it was reported that in addition to participating in the launch ceremony of the Turkish Stream, the Russian president will also hold talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Putin arrived in Turkey from Damascus, where he met with Syrian leader Bashar Assad, and also visited the command post of the Russian Armed Forces in the SAR.
