In Ukraine, announced the readiness of the bill on the land market for the second reading

The Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Timofey Milovanov said that the draft law on the land market is ready for consideration in the second reading by the Ukrainian parliament.


He wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“The land market bill is ready for a second reading. The conclusion of the committee with all changes is registered on the website of the Verkhovna Rada (Verkhovna Rada. - RT ), ”the minister said.

According to him, a number of innovations were included in the updated bill, in particular, the norm on the sale of land to foreigners only after a referendum. Also, the document now has a restriction, according to which one person can own land with an area of ​​only 10 thousand hectares.

In November, 240 deputies supported the bill on allowing the sale of agricultural land to Ukrainian citizens and legal entities, as well as to some foreign individuals or companies that have been renting them for at least three years.

The president of the Center for System Analysis and Forecasting Rostislav Ishchenko in an interview with the NSN told why this bill was adopted.
