The US Senate approved the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) on the defense budget for fiscal year 2020. It is reported by The Hill.

According to him, the total amount of the US military budget will be $ 738 billion.

Now the project should be signed by US President Donald Trump, who previously expressed his willingness to approve it as soon as it is adopted by lawmakers.

According to RIA Novosti, the defense budget lays down funds for sanctions against Nord Stream 2.

In early December, Bild, citing sources, wrote that the United States was going to achieve the imposition of sanctions against European companies that are involved in the implementation of Nord Stream 2.

It was pointed out that restrictions against project partners in the EU would be included in the law on the US military budget for next year.
