Germany rejects US sanctions against Nord Stream 2

Germany rejects extraterritorial sanctions that may be imposed by the United States against companies participating in the construction of the Nord Stream 2.


This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Economics of Germany.

Earlier, Bloomberg, citing US Secretary of Energy Rick Perry, announced that the American side is going to impose sanctions on the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline project.

In the Kremlin, commenting on these data, stressed that the Nord Stream - 2 has already been largely implemented and it can be expected that it will be launched.

Also expert Igor Yushkov commented on the NSN draft US senators ’law on sanctions against individuals and companies participating in the Nord Stream 2.
