Växjö got off to a perfect start when Marcus Sylvegård was able to score 1-0 after just five minutes, a puck who with great effort looked for a goal via goalkeeper Oscar Alsenfelt who was replaced by Lars Volden in the second period.
Ilari Melart flicked away a wrist shot from blue at the beginning of the second period and the low puck looked in the net for 2-0.
In the middle of the third period, another goal came from the blue when Tim Erixon shot in 3-0.
"A gold star for cooperation"
- It was a really nice win and we grind on for 60 minutes.
The guys in front of me are toiling hard and we won those fights which decided.
I felt safe and it will be a gold star for the team cooperation, says goalkeeper Viktor Fasth after his first zero during the season that came after the sixth straight home win for Växjö to C More.
Malmö won the shots 31-19 but felt too lukewarm.
- It becomes difficult to win when you score zero goals.
The performance is perfectly okay but we were too slow forward while Växjö took care of their positions, says Fredrik Händemark.
