It is heel problems that have bothered Karolin Ohlsson since 2018. Despite a long break due to the corona pandemic, she has not gotten rid of her problems and now she is waiting for surgery to be able to get the most out of her capacity.

- I do not get better from sitting on a bike but I have to run many hours in the woods. Now I feel that this year does not matter, considering the corona pandemic, so then it is just as good with an operation and get a damn good winter training and then invest in the WC and EC next year, she says to SVT Sport.

"It's a little funny"

The injury itself occurred in an unfortunate way to say the least. Ohlsson previously had problems with her hip and during her rehab she would stand on her hands against a wall, to get straight in the body. Instead, she pulled her heel hard against the wall and has had problems with it ever since.

- It could have happened at any time, but it's damn rude that it happened in a gym when I was doing rehab for another injury, so it's a little funny, she says.

If Tove Alexandersson is the orienteer who gets the most attention for her achievements, Karolin Ohlsson is the one who gets the most attention for her emotional interviews. But now we have to wait until next year before there will be more of it as she is expected to be back in full training at the end of the year.
