Linda Fogelström, who is GP general for the competition, tells Upsala Nya Tidning that no news has yet been received from the World Cup organizer BSI Speedway. But they have expressed their wishes.

- We haven't received a message yet but are prepared to run without an audience and in that case it would be the first GP competition of the year, she says.

- Now we are waiting for a message from there, which of course we want as soon as possible. I think BSI is counting on it, how it would work financially and logistically.

No financial risk

Mikael Holmstrand, Vice Chairman and Media Manager in Elitspeedway Sweden, explained to SVT Sport last week that it is not relevant to run the elite series without an audience, as the clubs are dependent on audience revenue. But the club Rospiggarna, which organizes the GP competition in Hallstavik, risks nothing by running the competition in front of empty stands.

- No absolutely not. If we are to drive, it is BSI that can replace us, says Linda Fogelström.
