Adidas put the Russian flag upside down in the new shirt of the national soccer team of this country, which has decided to play their last qualifying matches for the 2020 Eurocup with the old kit, the federation announced on Wednesday.

"The national team will play their next matches with the shirt that started the qualifiers," the Russian Football Federation (RFS) press service told AFP, confirming information from the Russian media.

At the origin of this decision, according to Russian media, there are the colored bands at the end of the sleeves of the shirt, which are those of the Russian flag but with the inverted order, red-blue-white instead of white -blue red.

Representatives of the federation could soon meet with Adidas to discuss the issue, when the new shirt has already been put up for sale in Russia. Russia, second in Group I and already qualified for Euro 2020, will face Belgium in St. Petersburg on Saturday and then move to San Marino on November 19.
