Typhoon and heavy rain Damages related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries 360 billion yen

The amount of damage related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries caused by Typhoon No. 19 and subsequent heavy rain continued to increase, exceeding 280 billion yen. Combined with Typhoon No. 15 in September, the damage amounted to 360 billion yen, surpassing last year's heavy rain in western Japan.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the amount of damage related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries caused by Typhoon No. 19 and subsequent heavy rain increased to 281.5 billion yen in 38 prefectures as of 18th.

As a result, the combined damage of Typhoon No. 19 and the subsequent heavy rains exceeded 360 billion yen, and the damage caused by typhoons and heavy rains was the largest after 1984, with statistics of over 34 billion yen last July. It became the scale exceeding the West Japan heavy rain.
