At the same time, Lavrov noted that the elections in Russia took place under conditions of “harsh external pressure from the West, a surge in terrorist attacks by the Kyiv regime.”

“But the voting was successful, nothing prevented the free and record-breaking expression of the will of Russian voters, as the delegation from the PRC government could also verify,” the Russian minister added.

Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Vladimir Putin on his re-election as president of Russia.

It was also reported that polling stations for voting in the Russian presidential elections were opened at the Russian embassy in Beijing and on the premises of Russian foreign missions in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenyang, Harbin and Hong Kong.
