has freed a 29-year-old

Colombian

citizen who was kidnapped in a house on the outskirts of the municipality of Fortuna (Murcia), and

has arrested four men

for their alleged involvement in the events, according to Benemérita sources. it's a statement.

The investigation shows that the captors had requested, under death threats,

700,000 euros

for the release of the man, who had received threats and attacks every day since last Friday.

The operation, called 'Fulfor', began on March 25, when the Armed Institute learned of the facts through communications in the field of international police cooperation from the CBP (US Customs and Border Protection), Customs and Border Protection Agency. , while his captors requested a large sum of money for his release under death threats.

Once this information was received, members of the Civil Guard began an investigation that included a permanent surveillance operation around a house under construction in which the strange presence of people and vehicles was detected.

The location of the house and its difficult access made this surveillance difficult, being the ideal place to

go unnoticed all activity

, being on the outskirts of the urban area and having little neighborhood.

Given the possible risk for the kidnapped person, with the information received from the American authorities and that which could be obtained from the investigation, on the afternoon of last Tuesday, March 26, a search warrant for the home was requested from the Investigating Court. number 1 in guard duties in Cieza (Murcia).

To carry out the entry, the Benemérita took into account

the risk of the victim

and the possible number of captors who would be guarding him, which is why he requested support from the Special Intervention Unit, an expert in this type of actions.

Once inside the house, the agents located

the kidnapped man safe and sound

in a room , proceeding to the arrest of the three people who were guarding him, two Colombians and a Spaniard. Investigators also proceeded to

arrest the owner of the home

for his possible relationship with the events.

During the search, 15,000 euros in cash

The released person was

transferred to a health center

to undergo a medical examination, which certified the injuries he had and that he had suffered during his captivity, in addition to death threats and possible harm to his relatives in Colombia, including a 6-year-old girl. years, if they did not pay.

The released person had been kidnapped since last Friday, March 22, after traveling from Madrid after being deceived with the bait of a business activity.

Of the three people who subjected him to forced detention and custody, two of them had traveled expressly from the province of Malaga for this activity and a third resided in the area.

In this operation, which is still open, and other actions and arrests have not been ruled out, four people have been arrested, two of Colombian origin and two other Spaniards, who are believed to be responsible for the crimes of kidnapping and criminal organization.

The proceedings carried out and the detainees have been placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court number 2 of Cieza, whose head has ordered the entry into prison of three of them.
