During negotiations with the Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces, Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing, Fomin noted that Russia sincerely values friendly relations with the republic.
“It is gratifying that against the background of the unprecedented sanctions campaign launched by the collective West against both Russia and Myanmar, our countries continue to fully support each other and act in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance,” TASS quotes Fomin.
Previously, Myanmar, along with other ASEAN member countries, supported Russia’s efforts to punish terrorists.
