Ajman Civil Defense warns of the dangers of indoor heating

Ajman Civil Defense warned of the dangers associated with heating devices such as firewood and charcoal, and the importance of ensuring compliance with safety instructions and taking the necessary preventive measures regarding them, and this comes in line with the safety measures campaign at home launched by the General Command of Civil Defense within its main awareness plan for 2021.

She explained that the most prominent dangers of the winter season are the use of indoor heating methods such as coal and firewood, which result in the emission of carbon monoxide, which inhalation in a place not good for ventilation within a short period leads to the possibility of death.  

And she appealed to all families when using firewood, the fire must be lit in a good location, with the need to ventilate the place and extinguish the coal after using it, and not to set fire in closed places to prevent the site from being saturated with toxic gases, to turn off the electric heating devices during sleep and not to allow children to approach them, in order to preserve their safety.

Ajman Civil Defense called for the use of modern heating methods that conform to the specifications and the necessity to follow safety guidelines, and to be careful to maintain them to avoid an electrical contact or technical failure that leads to a fire, stressing that the administration seeks to spread awareness to achieve public safety for individuals in homes and institutions through campaigns Awareness and lectures implemented by the emirate.
