Liverpool, who remained in 68 games unbeaten in the league at home, since April 2017, was beaten Thursday by the poorly classified Burnley (1-0), in a late match of the 18th day of the league.

This defeat, on a penalty conceded by goalkeeper Alisson in the 83rd minute and transformed by Ashley Barnes, left the defending champions in 4th place, six lengths behind the leader, Manchester United, after 19 matches.
