Halle (dpa) - The handball players of the SV Union Halle-Neustadt have continued their negative series.

The newcomer lost his home game against TuS Metzingen on Saturday with 23:26 (9:16).

After the sixth game in a row without a win, the hosts are only four points ahead of the first direct relegation place.

Marlene Zapf (6) and Silje Bröns Petersen (5) had the largest share in Metzingen's success.

Sophie Lütke (7/2) and Cecilie Woller (6) scored the most goals for the Halle women, who celebrated their last success so far on October 31, 2020 at 8:18 pm at Bucholz-Rosengarten.

The hosts were only ahead once at 2: 1 (5th).

Then the fourth in the table determined the events on the floor, but also benefited from several technical errors of the SV Union.

Helene Mikkelsen alone made five ball losses in the first 30 minutes.

Metzingen pulled over 6: 3 (12th) and 12: 7 (26th) to seven goals before the break.

The indoor athletes fought their way up to two hits at times (20:22, 52nd), but couldn't quite compensate for their weak first half hour.
