The official at Sotenäs municipality has now reported to the Ombudsman (JO), by Bohusläningen's editor-in-chief and responsible publisher, Gunilla Håkansson.

- It is serious from a democratic perspective when officials believe that they can choose who should report on the municipality, says Gunilla Håkansson.

Formerly politically active

The official referred in the conversation to the fact that the reporter in question has previously had a political commitment, something that Gunilla Håkansson is aware of.

- He is not politically active while working as a journalist.

I'm sure he can differentiate between the roles, she says.

Bohusläningen has been in contact with the municipal council in the municipality, which did not support the statement.

In the future, the editor-in-chief and the municipal council will have a meeting.

- What we want is that they should not be able to dictate who monitors Sotenäs, says Gunilla Håkansson.

SVT Nyheter has during Thursday and Friday sought the municipal councilor Mats Abrahamsson (M).
