According to the police, it was initially unclear who set up the sculpture near Ebratshofen in the Lindau district.
The wooden penis over two meters high is about ten meters away from a road.
Traces in the snow indicate that the sculpture was set up with a trailer.
In the Allgäu, a phallus sculpture has stood on the 1738-meter-high Grünten in the Allgäu Alps for years.
Most recently, the wooden penis even attracted international attention when it first fell over within a few weeks, then was straightened up again and finally disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
The wooden penis was later replaced, then sawn up and reassembled by strangers.
