Egypt: Juhayna’s president was imprisoned for 15 days on charges of financing terrorism

Today, Saturday, the investigation authorities in Egypt decided to imprison the chairman of the board of directors of the Egyptian Juhayna Food Industries, businessman Safwan Thabet, for a period of 15 days pending investigations on charges of "financing terrorism and joining a terrorist group."

Thabet was investigated in the presence of his lawyer, and the investigation authorities confronted him with the accusations against him.

It is noteworthy that in August 2015, a judicial committee formed by the Ministry of Justice issued a decision to seize the money and property of the head of Juhayna Company due to his "links to the terrorist Brotherhood group."
