According to her, in the structure of the compulsory medical insurance, within the framework of the compulsory clinical examination of children, the obligation to establish "such dangerous diseases as alcoholism and drug addiction has not been introduced," reports TASS.

“Although the very logic of clinical examination is aimed at identifying diseases that are dangerous to life and health.

This is a serious omission, ”said the parliamentarian during an online meeting of the Presidential Council for the Implementation of State Policy in the Sphere of Family and Child Protection.

As Yarovaya noted, statistics show that one of the reasons for social orphanhood and family trouble is parental alcoholism and the involvement of children in drug and alcohol use.

“If the compulsory clinical examination includes, among other things, the conclusions of specialists aimed at fixing the signs of such life-threatening diseases of adolescents, this will allow us to act together with the family in a more modern and timely manner,” the deputy added.

At the beginning of July 2019, the Russian Ministry of Health developed a project according to which the country proposes to check schoolchildren and students for drugs.
