The Parisian demonstration against the proposed law "Global security", which had been banned by the police headquarters which recommended a rally, may well be held on Saturday after an interim decision of the administrative court, indicated members of the collective opposed to this law.

"The prefectural decree has been suspended," Dominique Pradalié of the National Union of Journalists (SNJ) told AFP after the hearing on Friday.

“The Paris Administrative Court has just suspended the Paris Prefect's prohibition order.

The # Marchedeslibertés will take place tomorrow from République to Bastille at 2pm.

We will defend all freedoms, ”tweeted Arié Alimi, the collective's lawyer, also a member of the national office of the League of Human Rights.

“Freedom marches” in 70 cities

The “Stop Global Security Law” coordination, made up of journalists' unions, human rights NGOs and associations, calls for the withdrawal of the proposed law of articles 21, 22, “which organize mass surveillance” , and article 24, which aims to penalize the malicious dissemination of the image of police officers, as well as the withdrawal of the new national law enforcement plan.

After demonstrations last Saturday, new “marches of freedoms” are planned Saturday in more than 70 cities, as well as in front of the embassies of France in The Hague and Berlin, according to the coordination.

Fire and Assembly

The Paris police headquarters had decided to ban the parade on Saturday by decree, in particular to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, however, allowing a gathering at Place de la République.

The coordination had then filed a request for suspension in summary, evoking a process "unacceptable, while marches are authorized in other cities in France".

The “comprehensive security” bill, which already received a green light from the Assembly last week, has aroused significant mobilization among journalists and beyond.

A mobilization that found a new echo after the broadcast by the Loopsider media of images of police violence against a music producer.

Posted Thursday, the topic has been viewed more than 13 million times on Twitter, becoming one of the most viral videos on Twitter in France.
