  Data show that 22,930 new cases were confirmed in Italy that day, and a total of 14,31795 cases were confirmed.

There are 796,849 confirmed cases, of which 34,697 people are receiving general treatment in hospitals, and 3810 people are receiving treatment in intensive care units.

  The Italian Minister of Health Speranza signed an order on the same day to suspend the operation of the country’s mink farms; if the farms show symptoms of the new crown virus infection, the local authorities will take over the relevant farms and conduct investigations; the mink confirmed to be infected with the new crown virus will be rushed kill.

The order is effective immediately and is valid until February 2021.

  In order to control the spread of the epidemic, Italy currently manages the country’s 20 major areas into three categories: red, orange and yellow according to the severity of the epidemic.
