Wenchang (AP) - China has launched an unmanned spaceship to the moon.

The "Long March 5" rocket lifted off Monday evening CET from the space station in Wenchang on the southern Chinese island of Hainan.

After a moon landing, the mission is to bring lunar rocks back to earth for the first time in more than four decades.
