Magdeburg (AP) - A 69-year-old man was run over by an approaching truck in Magdeburg and died.
The man wanted to cross the street in front of the truck at a red light on Monday, the police said.
When the traffic light for car traffic finally turned green, the 30-year-old driver drove off.
According to his own statements, he overlooked the pedestrian, it was said.
The passer-by was hit by the truck and rolled over.
He died at the scene of the accident.
