November 21, 2020 Seven adults and a teenager injured and a man on the run: this is the provisional toll of the shooting that took place in a shopping center in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, about ten kilometers from Milwaukee.

They are not dead.

Around 3pm, near the entrance to Macy's department store, a man started randomly shooting people, leaving several wounded on the ground.

"I heard the shots and I saw people running and screaming - a witness, Rosa de los Reyes told the local CBS - I just thought about getting away as quickly as possible. It was scary".

A Macy's employee said she heard at least a dozen shots.

Police described the shooter as a white man aged between 20 and 30.

The mall area has been closed.

Dozens of police cars patrol the area.

About eighty agents are engaged in the hunt for the bomber.

According to Dennis McBride, the mayor of the locality, a suburb about ten kilometers from Milwaukee, none of the victims "have injuries that are life threatening".

Investigators are working to track down who shot or at least trace his identity. "

When help arrived, the person who had shot was no longer there," explained police chief Barry Weber, who however did not could not even tell if the wanted man was still in the mall.
