Also, schoolchildren show interest in memoirs and success stories of famous personalities (29.8%), books about the history of mankind (19.9%), about feminism and masculism (18%), the publication says.

At the same time, it is noted that young men are more interested in literature on business processes, and girls are more interested in the development of creative potential.

“The survey has shown that today's schoolchildren are strongly interested in personal development.

On average, middle and high school students devote one to two and a half hours a week to reading all kinds of nonfiction, from behavioral psychology to financial literacy and time management.

At the same time, young people read more business literature and scientific pop, and girls among their interests more often identified topics such as psychology, feminism and the development of creative potential, ”the IPO head clarified.

The survey involved 1576 schoolchildren aged 12 to 18 years from 75 regions of Russia.
