According to him, the first wave of protests took place in Belarus on August 9-11 and was successfully suppressed, and currently there is a second wave of protest actions.

“The breakdown of traffic lights, an attack on employees and calls for it, arson of booths, government buildings, internal affairs bodies,” the Belarusian minister was quoted by TASS.

Earlier, the investigation in Belarus qualified the arson of the traffic police building in Mozyr as an act of terrorism.

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said that the protesters "crossed the red line" and that the republic's authorities are beginning to face terrorist threats.
