The Dubai Health Authority has set the price of seasonal influenza vaccine in private health facilities at 100 dirhams as a maximum, including all fees related to the service, and has required all establishments to adhere to the specified price in order to avoid violations.
The authority clarified - in a circular issued yesterday, and sent to all private health facilities - that the decision to determine the price of the seasonal influenza vaccine comes in light of the current exceptional circumstances, related to the spread of the new Corona virus, in order to provide the necessary preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus, and to ensure health And safety for community members.
According to "Dubai Health", it is necessary to refrain from imposing any other additional fees, such as administrative fees, urgent service, or when providing them at work sites, homes, or any other related facilities, especially patients who visit the facility directly to take the vaccine without any Symptoms of illness, or a request for any service or other medical advice.
She added that the decision comes as a supplement to the previous authority’s circulars on the same matter, and in accordance with the provisions of the medical legislation presented to the public, and what was stipulated in Executive Council Resolution No. 32 of 2012 regarding the regulation of the practice of health professions in the Emirate of Dubai.
The authority stressed the need to implement the new decision, starting from yesterday, to require all concerned health facilities to adhere to the instructions contained therein, in order to avoid any violations or legal consequences thereof.
Finally, the authority launched a campaign to raise awareness of seasonal influenza, targeting various groups of society, especially those most vulnerable to complications from the disease, and it was also keen to provide sufficient quantities of vaccinations in its various primary health care centers, and a number of medical fitness examination centers, in order to facilitate The members of the community must enable them to reach these places to obtain the vaccine, according to easy and easy steps that take into account all the precautionary measures, and the conditions of public health and safety within the service delivery centers.
