27 October 2020 Clashes in Piazza del Popolo and surroundings in Rome on the occasion of the demonstration against the latest anti-Covid Dpcm launched by the government.



There were violent clashes, with the launch of paper bombs, firecrackers and burning bins.

Police officers in riot gear dispersed the demonstrators thanks to the intervention of vehicles equipped with hydrants.



For the Minister of the Interior Lamorgese, 'extremist fringes exploit the protest'.

The owner of the Interior Ministry invites citizens to distance themselves from the violent. 



The clashes began in Piazza del Popolo, where the categories most affected by the Covid crisis had gathered.

A group of hooded protesters began throwing paper bombs, firecrackers and smoke bombs.

Among them also exponents of Forza Nuova.

The police used fire hydrants and carried out charges.

Protesters backed towards Piazzale Flaminio, setting fire to some garbage bins and destroying scooters
